iwl3945 & wpa supplicant

My FJ S7110 has the intel 3945 wifi. I am using iwl3945 for it. I configure my network cards through wicd.

I recently discovered that i couldn’t connect to a wpa2 network (my parent’s dsl router). After some toying around, I found that in the wicd preferences, under WPA supplicant driver, I should select wext instead of the default ipw.
