updating the eeepc bios
- Get the latest bios for the 701 from here: http://update.eeepc.asus.com/bios/ (as of 28.06.2008 it was version 0910, released 05.05.2008 )
- Extract the .rom file, rename it to 701.rom (i’m not sure this is necessary, but i did it just in case), and put it on a flash drive formatted as vfat.
- Plug it in and reboot the system
- Press Alt+F2
- When the update process is finished, reboot.
