auto-login + xlockmore

could i combine gdm auto-login with xlockmore to speed up the boot process?

yes, just add “xlock -mode blank” to your session startup

the reason for all this is that “gnome-screensaver-command –lock” fails if any program (e.g. mail-notification) asks for permission to access the keyring…
