Want to make the 1st page of an openoffice document be landscape, while keeping the rest of the document in portrait? It’s not as easy as you think: changing the page formatting applies the changes to ALL pages in the document.

To achieve the desired goal, you need to create a new page style (Format -> Styles and Formatting -> Page Styles -> New), make it Landscape, and set its “Next Style” to “Default”. Then apply this style to the 1st page.
