move /home to it’s own partition

leave a comment »

A nice step-by-step guide on how to move your /home directory to a separate partition (there are several reasons why you might want to do that). Basically, after the repartitioning, you mount the new partition, copy /home to it, then remove /home and edit fstab to mount the new partition as /home.

This one tells you how to do this in Windows.
