To get the vendor and device id’s of the pci devices on your system, type lspci -nn.

Then Ubuntu has a list of devices in the file /usr/share/misc/pci.ids, which is maintained by this project: http://pciids.sourceforge.net/.

And there’s always also http://www.pcidatabase.com/
