Azimout's Linux weblog

Windows stores thumbnail information in each folder, in a file called Thumbs.db. When you switch to Linux, all your folders are full of these files… I would remove them when I would find them, and was not in a hurry. Tonight I thought “there must be a better way to do this”. It doesn’t work yet, but here’s what I’ve got so far:

sudo find / -name Thumbs.db -print | sed 's/ /\\ /g' |xargs rm -fv

Otherwise, Nautilus will do this for you, just press Ctrl+F and look for Thumbs.db…
