my internet connection at home is a wimax (ngi eolo) system based on alvarion’s breezeaccess vl (5,4-5,7 GHz). For details read this case study. the modem provided by ngi (which also powers the antenna via PoE) is connected to a netgear wgr614v6 router. yesterday i lost connectivity (the bars underneath the antenna, which show signal strength, turned red, which means the BTS is down). i waited until this afternoon, and then called customer service. the BTS came back up at 16:45, but the “internet port” led on the netgear was orange (“amber”, according to the manual), which means the connection between the modem and the router was 10Mbps instead of 100…
