couldn’t execute command: evolution

leave a comment »

My girlfriend’s EeePc would show an error message “couldn’t execute command: evolution” each time she would attach the ac cord.

The reason was that, for some strange reason, the “email hotkey” event is triggered. I have removed evolution from that machine, but was still listed as the default mail app in “preferred applications”. I verified that by setting it to thunderbird, which caused the thunderbird app to be launched each time you attached the power cord :-/

To fix this, comment everything out of /etc/acpi/mailbtn.sh
