such a basic thing, and still I don’t know how to do it by heart! to add a directory to your path, run PATH=$PATH:<new path> (e.g. PATH=$PATH:/opt/microblaze/bin) and then export PATH

To see your current path, run echo $PATH

To avoid having to do this everytime, add it to your ~/.bashrc (for a single user account) or to /etc/profiles for all users
