calc tips

  1. To insert >1 lines in a Calc sheet, select an equal number of lines and press “insert line”
  2. When exporting to .csv, empty cells are not exported. To have a “” where there were empty cells, add the formula ="" in all those empty cells
  3. If there are too many empty cells, it might be simpler to use sed to solve this
  4. To append }, at the end of each line of the .csv file (to be used as a C array), run sed 's/$/},/g' old_csv > new_csv
  5. Instead, to prepend { to each line, run sed 's/^/{/g' old_csv > new_csv
